Rating the Risk

Different sexual behaviours involve different risks for STIs. As a general rule for safer sex, avoid exchanging the following body fluids with a partner: semen/cum, blood, vaginal fluids. Also don't touch sores.

NO RISK SEX PLAY (avoiding fluid exchange and touching sores)
  • Masturbation
  • Mutual masturbation (*)
  • Massage, touch (*)
  • Erotic bathing
  • Kissing
  • Phone sex with a partner
  • Erotica
  • Fantasy

(*) Means that there is some risk of getting parasites like pubic lice or scabies from an infected partner(s).

 

Lower Risk Sex
  • Oral sex
  • Vaginal intercourse with a latex condom
  • Anal intercourse with a condom
