Sex = Choice

Having sex means much more that just intercourse. In fact, we each get to decide what having sex means for us as the possibilities are numerous. That means that it's important for each of us to spend time thinking about our desires and boundaries, what we want and don't want, and it’s important that we talk to our partner(s) about this.

Here are a few possible examples of sexual expression:
  • Masturbation.
  • Massage and touch.
  • Masturbating a partner or watching them masturbate.
  • Fantasy.
  • Erotica.
  • Talking sexually to a partner on the phone.
  • Erotic bathing.
  • Hugging, kissing.
  • Writing each other sexy letters.
  • Your choices here . . .

With so many possible ways to express ourselves sexually, most of us can find something that we are comfortable with and that we enjoy. When choosing to be sexually active it is important to consider the risks involved and to take appropriate actions to prevent unintended pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted infections.
